PURPOSE: A system and method for automatically adjusting a tint for a TV are disclosed to improve an image quality by automatically adjusting the tint according to an ambient temperature of the TV. CONSTITUTION: A system for automatically adjusting a tint for a TV includes a temperature sensor(6) for sensing an ambient temperature of the TV, a memory(17) for storing data used for adjusting the tint according to a temperature difference between the ambient temperature sensed by the temperature sensor(6) and a standard temperature, and a controller(15) for controlling the tint according to the temperature difference data. The controller(15) controls, on the basis of the temperature difference data, the tine to a blue side when the sensed temperature is higher than the standard temperature, and to a red side when the sensed temperature is lower than the standard temperature.
