PURPOSE: A method for performing an UIM(User Interface Manager) in a managing device of an IMT-2000 base station is provided to give the IMT-2000 base station, which has a refined design, a cheap cost, and easy to operate by a user, or can reuse used sources, and can be processed in real time by using JAVA. CONSTITUTION: A method for performing an UIM(User Interface Manager) in a managing device of an IMT-2000 base station, using JAVA in an operator computer for managing a radio base station and a control base station of a radio system, comprises the steps of: displaying a main window of the UIM, composed of a window-type having at least one icon capable of controlling of the control base station or the base station, when the UIM is performed; displaying an operation window on screen to perform an operation corresponding to the selected icon, when inputting the icon; transmitting an inputted command to the radio base station or the control base station, by a functional block performing the operation, when a command is inputted through the operation window; displaying the result of the command on screen, after receiving the result of the command.
