FLAT PLATE FLUORESCENT LAMP

PURPOSE: A flat plate fluorescent lamp is provided to obtain a uniform luminance on a flat plane and a high luminance without additional structure by setting barrier ribs on a discharge path. CONSTITUTION: A flat plate fluorescent lamp is provided where a discharge path(10) is formed by installing a number of barrier ribs(7) between a front glass plate(1) and a backside glass plate(3), and an electrode on one side wall and a facing electrode on other side wall are installed in a comb shape to be parallel with the barrier ribs of the discharge path. A dielectric layer(9) is installed on top of two electrodes, and a fluorescent layer(8) is deposited on the barrier ribs forming the electric discharge path and on an inner surface of the front glass plate. A discharge gas(GAS) is filled, after making the discharge path in a vacuum state by sealing up the circumference of the front glass plate and the backside glass plate with an encapsulant(5).
