PURPOSE: An advertisement broadcasting skip reproducing controller of a television equipped with a single tuner is provided to continuously detect whether an advertisement broadcasting is proceeded by selecting one broadcasting channel at high speed in case that another broadcasting channel is tuned and reproduced. CONSTITUTION: A tuner(2) selects an RF signal of a determined broadcasting channel according to channel tuning data from a control unit. A video detection unit(6) detects a composite video signal of a television broadcasting signal. A video amplifying unit(8) amplifies the composite video signal detected. A video signal processing unit(10) separates a luminescence signal and a color signal from the composite video signal. A video output unit(12) reproduces a video on a CRT screen. An ADC(14) quantizes a video signal according to a television broadcasting from the video amplifying unit(8). The first video memory(16) stores a video signal included in a window area. The second video memory(18) repeatedly stores a video signal of the window area. A video comparison unit(20) compares video signals according the window area from the first and the second video memory(16,18). A synchronous separation unit(22) separates a synchronous signal from the video signal from the video amplifying unit(8). A function setting unit(24) is composed of a remote controller and a matrix button unit. A control unit(26) controls all sorts of setting operations.
