PURPOSE: A wiper assembly is provided for a wiper arm to enhance rain water eliminating ability per unit-time through enabling two wiper arms furnished with each wiper blade to be widened at a specific angle relatively. CONSTITUTION: A wiper drive motor and each wiper blade(11,11') are equipped to wipe a windshield glass during rotation with driving force of the wiper drive motor. Dividable wiper arms(10,10') mounted to be widened as a specific angle and an angle adjusting unit(20) for widening dividable wiper arms are included to constitute a wiper assembly. As rain water amount that drops along a windshield glass becomes a large amount, caused by rain downpour during vehicle travel, an operational mode of wiper assembly is set as a turbo mode. Herein a turbo mode serves as a mode that maximizes rain removal amount per unit time by widening dividable wiper arms with a specific angle. In the state, via a control valve(29), hydraulic or pneumatic pressure is supplied to an actuating cylinder(21) for an actuating rod(23) to protrude outward of an actuating cylinder. Thus a divided link(25) connected to the actuating rod moves and the dividable wiper arms get widened. Additionally, when a wiper drive motor is driven, the dividable wiper arms rotate and rain water falling down along the windshield glass is eliminated.
