PURPOSE: An air conditioner heat exchanger is provided to achieve an improved heat transfer efficiency by causing turbulent flow and mixing the air flowing among flat fins, while effectively minimizing the dead flow area formed at the rear of the heat transfer tube. CONSTITUTION: A heat exchanger comprises a plurality of flat fins(1) arranged in parallel so as to allow air to flow between flat fins, and a plurality of heat transfer tubes inserted perpendicularly to flat fins so as to allow fluid to flow through the heat transfer tube. The flat fin includes a fifth slit portion(70) formed at the flat fin so as to allow the air inlet port and air outlet port to have same aperture area, and which has a height increasing as it goes from the air inlet port toward the center of the fin and decreasing as it goes from the center toward the outlet port; first and second slit portions having a height decreasing to be lower than the height of the fifth slit portion as it goes from the center of the fifth slit portion toward the opposite direction of air flow; and third and fourth slit portions having a height decreasing as it goes toward the air flow direction. First and second slit portions are formed at the flat fin to be vertically symmetric with each other, such that the aperture area of the air outlet port is larger than that of the air inlet port. Third and fourth slit portions are formed at the flat fin to be horizontally symmetric with each other, such that the aperture area of the air outlet port is smaller than that of the air inlet port.
