PURPOSE: An apparatus for controlling rotation of an antenna of a TV is provided to have the antenna rotate automatically in the direction in which an optimum automatic gain control(AGC) voltage of a broadcasting signal is detected. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for controlling rotation of an antenna of a TV comprises: an automatic gain control(AGC) voltage detector for detecting an AGC voltage of a broadcasting visual signal received from the antenna; a controller for comparing the AGC voltage detected from the AGC voltage detector with a predetermined reference voltage and rotating the antenna clockwise or counterclockwise according to the result of the comparison so that the controller controls supplying a rotation control signal to have the AGC voltage reach the reference voltage; an infrared signal generator for generating an infrared signal corresponding to the antenna rotation control signal output from the controller to the controller.
