PURPOSE: A liquid crystal display system is provided to achieve the expansion of segment and to prevent the current consumption caused at stand-by mode, by having main and sub micro controllers and main and sub oscillators. CONSTITUTION: A sub micro controller(300) used for the segment expansion of an LCD(100) exchanges data to control the LCD(100) with a main micro controller mutually. A main oscillator(400) supplies a first oscillation signal, having a first frequency to control the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300), to the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300) during the operation of the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300) to control the LCD(100). A sub oscillator(500) supplies a second oscillation signal, having a second frequency to prevent the current consumption generated from the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300), to the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300) during the stand-by mode that the main and the sub micro controllers(200,300) are not controlling the LCD(100).
