The invention concerns a device comprising a rod (2) housed in a cylindrical housing of the iron handle (1). Said rod (2) is provided at its front end (4) with a radial protuberance (5) projecting beyond the handle (1) surface. The rod second end is provided with a lever (3) for acting on a switch (11, 12) controlling the steam when the rod (2) is rotated about its axis by the action of the user's finger. The lever (3) has a symmetrical configuration with respect to an axial plane of the rod (2) thereby enabling the control to be used both by a left-hander as by a right hander. |
