METHOD FOR INPUTTING KEYS BY USE OF KEYBOARD OF PC IN PDA

PURPOSE: A method for inputting key data of a PDA(Personal Digital Assistant) using a keyboard of a personal computer is provided to input the key data conveniently into the PDA without the need for using a touch panel and a key panel of the PDA. CONSTITUTION: It is determined whether a key for setting a virtual keyboard server mode is pressed(200). The virtual keyboard server mode is set in the personal computer when the key is pressed(202). It is checked whether the serial ports, included in the personal computer and the PDA, are connected to each other(204). A CPU receives the key data inputted via the keyboard of the personal computer if the serial ports are coupled with each other(206). The received key data is converted to data for a serial communication in a virtual keyboard server module, and then transmitted to the PDA(208). It is checked whether a key for releasing the set virtual keyboard server mode is inputted(210). The virtual keyboard server mode is released if the key for releasing the same is inputted(212).
