PURPOSE: An expanding device for sizing a middle shell is provided to prepare an expanding device more easily by composing jaws, a cone and a return spring, guiding by a slide key and acting of a cam and to make the expanding more precise by removing the shakiness of the jaws. CONSTITUTION: Shells(50,90) are expanded by inserting the shells to the outer face of jaws(210) at shrinking position, descending a connecting rod(201) by operating a reciprocating tool such as a fluid cylinder, descending a cone(220) and a divided cone(220') with a shaft(203) and moving each jaw while being guided by the inner faces of an upper supporting block(250) and a lower supporting block(240) at a supporting guide part(212) by the interaction of a slide inclined face(225) of the divided cone and a slide inclined face(215) of the jaws. And a side wall slide face(221) of a slide key(230) is guided by the side wall face of the slide key according to the movement in radial of the jaws so that shakiness of the jaws are removed and the jaws moves in radial more precisely. Thereby, the diameter expanding of the shells becomes precise.
