PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To facilitate manufacturing and also to ensure the assembly and engagement of a fixing plate with the base, in an optical pickup device, by lowering dimensional precision in the position for engaging the base with the fixing plate which holds optical system components to be assembled into the base. SOLUTION: An engaging piece 217 is formed in a folded manner on a fixing plate 216 in its fixedly assembling direction into the base 212 (212a, 212b, 212c), which is incorporated with the optical system components of an optical pickup device while the fixed plate 216 holds these components; on the foot of such engaging piece 217, an elastic deforming face 217c is formed, making the engaging piece 217 elastically deformable in the assembling direction, and also forming a recessed level face 212b correspondingly to the elastic deforming face 217c of the engaging piece 217 of the base 212, with the engaging piece 217 elastically deformably engaging in the assembling direction with an engaging recess 218 on the base 212 side, so that the fixing plate 216 is fixedly assembled into the base 212. |
