PURPOSE: A GPS(Global Positioning System) using a wireless paging network and a terminal unit of the GPS are provided to intertpret signals received from artificial satellites, through a common wireless paging network, and to exactly measure the position by comparing /operating the correction value with the signal from the artificial satellite. CONSTITUTION: A GPS(Global Positioning System) using a wireless paging network comprises a DGPS(Differential GPS) base station, a wireless paging base station(PS), a wireless paging repeater(T), and a navigator. The DGPS interprets signals(D1,D2,D3) received from artificial satellites(S1,S2,S3), compares position information with a stored position information, and produces a correction value of the interpreted position information from the received signals. The wireless paging base station(PS) generates paging data corresponding to the correction value of the received position information from the DGPS base station, and transmits the paging data to a region where the correction value is valid. The wireless paging repeater(T) wirelessly delivers the paging data by receiving the paging data. The navigator detects the correction value included in the wireless paging data, and corrects present position information interpreted from the signals(D1,D2,D3) which are directly received from the artificial satellites(S1,S2,S3).
