The invention comprises (with certain exceptions) compounds of Formulae (I) and (II) wherein X is halogen, hydroxy, alkoxy or acyloxy <FORM:1019120/C2/1> <FORM:1019120/C2/2> m is 1-5, R1 and R3 are H or an optionall substituted hydrocarbyl group, R2 is an optionally substituted aliphatic hydrocarbyl group, or alternatively NR1R2 is a heterocyclic ring, n is 1-3 and Y is an n-valent anion. Compounds (I) are in general prepared by reacting the substituted benzaldehyde with the appropriate hydrazine derivative, optionally followed by acylation.
