PURPOSE: A method for preventing generation of an error when determining a sound mode is to exactly determine a dual mode by using information of a program delivery code and a pilot signal. CONSTITUTION: A method for preventing an error when determining a sound mode comprises steps of: after a sound mode is determined by detecting a dual pilot signal(403s), determining a dual mode by using information of a dual pilot and a program delivery code; and if a determining result of the sound mode by using the information of the program delivery code is equal to a determining result of the sound mode by using the pilot signal, displaying the determined sound mode(405s,406s), or if the result is different, determining the sound mode by using a dual pilot signal(407s). |
