PURPOSE: A device for stopping a material is provided to be applied to various sorts of equipments when processing a long and thin rod. CONSTITUTION: A stopping device consists of: a chuck(10) chucking a material(100); a guide bush(12) supporting the material; a stopper pipe(32) stopping the chucked material to a drawing position; a draw pipe(16) guiding the stopper pipe; a cylinder rod(28) connected to one side of the stopper pipe; am air cylinder(30) moving the cylinder rod forward and rearward; a first cover(18) combined with the outside of the draw pipe for supporting the pipe; and a spacer(22) faced with one side of the first cover and combined to the outside of the draw pipe at the same time. More than two spacers having different length are replaced by turns. The stopper pipe is installed inside the draw pipe to slide forward and rearward.
