PURPOSE: An electric violin is provided to remove an electric noise by a ground plate and to improve a sound quality by installing a pick-up circuit in a jaw support and attaching the ground plate between a base plate and a neck portion. CONSTITUTION: A resonance barrel(20) is formed using front and back plates(21,23) and a side plate(24). A neck portion(25b) having a head portion(29) is fixed to a front end side of the resonance barrel(20). A plurality of strings are formed to a string reel(27) and a string fixing bridge(28c). A jaw support(22) is installed to one terminal of the front plate(21). A base plate(25a) is attached to a front surface of the neck portion(25b). A ground plate(30) is attached between the neck portion(25b) and the base plate(25a). A pair of resonant holes(26a,26b) are formed to the front plate(21) of the resonance barrel(20). A first bridge(28a) and a second bridge(28b) are installed for uniformly supporting a distance of a string.
