METHOD FOR COMPRESSING BLANK IMAGE DATA IN INK JET PRINTER

PURPOSE: A method for compressing a blank image data in an ink jet printer is provided to reduce a memory access time and to increase data transmitting efficiency from a host by reducing a whole image data. CONSTITUTION: A method forms a bit processing an image data of which a control word is '0 by 0000' or '0 by FFFF' value. Bit 12 to bit 0 control each 13 half-word and A bit 13 indicates that a final bit is repeated or the half word data is zero, as a mode bit. Therefore, the method reduces time for transmitting the data and accessing the memory by adding the processing function for a blank data to reduce whole image data amount.
