PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To imprint photographing data on film at high probability in a camera where the film is wound by manual operation. SOLUTION: A film winding lever 19 is manually operated to wind the film 1, and a film pulse is generated from a pulse generator 26 by a friction roller 25 rotated with the movement of the film 1, and the light emitting dots of a data light emitting part 24 are selectively and orderly made to emit light in synchronization with the film pulse, so that the photographing data is imprinted on the film 1. The imprinting of the photographing data on the film is realized simultaneously with winding the film, and whether or not the photographing data is accurately imprinted is decided according to the winding state of the film in such a case, and the photographing data is imprinted again when the data is not appropriately imprinted. Thus, the probability that the photographing data is appropriately imprinted is made higher than in the conventional manner and the photographing data is imprinted on the film in the manual film winding type camera.
