PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the accurate absolute location data of an object to be detected to be acquired even in the case where a noise is superimposed on an absolute location detecting means. SOLUTION: A location converting part 2 converts the amount of displacement of a detection object detected by a location detecting part 1 into absolute location data and outputs them. A noise processing part 3 determines a center value from three items of absolute location data continuously outputted form the location converting part 2 to output it. A pulse output part 4 outputs, by obtaining the difference between data given for every predetermined sampling period by the noise processing part 3 and previous data by one sampling period, UP pulses or DOWN pulses to a pulse counter 5 corresponding to the amount of increase or reduction with respect to the value of the previous data by one sampling period. The pulse counter 5 performs counting-up or counting-down operation according to the UP or DOWN pulses outputted from the pulse output part 4 to obtain absolute location data according to the amount of displacement of the detection object.
