METHOD OF AUTOMATIC TUNING SYSTEM OF CHANNEL IN TELEVISION

PURPOSE: An assortment method of an automatic channel in a television is provided a way of channel classification using PDS(Program Delivery Code)/VPS(Video Programmable System) data in ATS(Auto Tuning System) mode. CONSTITUTION: A micro-computer in a television set accomplishes(303S) ATS(Auto Tuning System) function when a television set turning on(301S). The micro-computer receives(304S) an ATS mode and determines mono sound mode or stereo sound mode by detecting(305S) a PDS(Program Delivery Code)/VPS(Video Programmable System) data signal. After determining mono or stereo sound mode, the micro-computer sorts channels from stereo sound mode. The micro-computer starts classifying the channels in mono sound mode and completes arranging the channels.
