PURPOSE: A current direction sense amplifier is provided to shorten an access time to a stored data by sensing a current direction, amplifying the sensed current direction,instead of the voltage level. CONSTITUTION: NMOS transistors(M5,M6) has a gate for receiving a power supply voltage and a source connected to a ground power terminal. An NMOS transistor(M3) is connected to the NMOS transistor(M5) connected to an input signal(IN). An NMOS transistor(M4) is connected to a drain terminal of the NMOS transistor(M6) and is connected to the NMOS transistor(M3) in a latch shape. NMOS transistors(M1,M2) has a gate for receiving a sense control signal(SEN), and is connected between the drain of NMOS transistors(M3,M4) and the power supply voltage. An output signal(V1) of a current direction amplifier unit is outputted from a common drain terminal of the NMOS transistor(M1) and the NMOS transistor(M3).
