PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To miniaturize a diaphragm device arranged inside a lens barrel. SOLUTION: As to the driving device of a light quantity adjusting device by which a pair of light quantity adjusting members 88 and 89 slides in a direction orthogonally crossing with an optical axis, so that diameter is changed; a magnetic circuit constituted of a coil 83 wound to a bobbin, a yoke 84, and a magnet 87 is used, and the members 88 and 89 are driven by an arm 86 provided on the magnet 87, the coil 83 is arranged on one of the sides sandwiching the center of the optical axis in the sliding direction of the members 88 and 89, and also the magnet 87 is arranged on the other side.
