PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to easily secure watertightness in the introducing part to a closure while securing a low friction at the time of laying by providing the surface of sheaths with a ruggedness. SOLUTION: The sheaths to be formed on the outer periphery of a core part in which coated optical fibers 4 are housed are formed in multiple layers like the inner sheath 5 and the outer sheath 6. The surface of the inner sheath 5 is smoothed and the outer sheath 6 is provided with a ruggedness by forming projecting lines 7, etc., on its outside surface. In addition, the Young's modulus of the outer sheath 6 is made larger than the Young's modulus of the inner sheath 5, thereby, the separation of the inner sheath 5 and the outer sheath 6 is made easy and the damage resistance on the outside surface of the cable and the flexibility of the cable at the time of laying are secured. The outer sheath 6 is stripped to expose the inner sheath 5 having the smooth surface while the low friction at the time of laying is assured by the ruggedness on the outside surface of the outer sheath 6, to secure the watertightness in the introducing part of the closure.
