HEATING AND DRYING METHOD FOR ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an effective heating and drying method capable of heating to higher temperature than a prior art heating method utilizing hot air and an infrared lamp. SOLUTION: A heating/drying method for an article is provided, in which ultraviolet rays involved in electromagnetic waves radiated from an electric discharge lamp 1 are cut, and an article 3 is irradiated with infrared rays rich in electromagnetic waves. For electromagnetic waves generated in the electric discharge lamp consisted of electrodes and a bulb the bulb cut in ultraviolet rays reflects ultraviolet rays (indicated with an arrow A) and absorbs (arrow B), and in contrast infrared rays (arrow C) involved in rich in the electromagnetic waves passes through the bulb with which the article 3 to be heated is directly irradiated.
