SOFTWARE INSTRUMENTATION METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To give a desired instrumentation of an optional type to an optional target program by carrying out an instrumentation action without correction of a target program code. SOLUTION: A user machine 12 and a remote machine 14 communicate with each other via a communication medium 15. A controller 27 which is executed on the machine 14 operates together with another process or thread. When a trigger event designated by a user occurs, the controller 27 executes an action that is designated by the user to instrument a target program. Thus, it's possible to give a desired instrumentation of an optional type to an optional target program without correcting the source code of the target program nor an executable code.
