PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To strengthen a magnetic core by using a magnetic core including a dumping element and a leg having a part made of or filled with material whose magnetic resistance is larger than the magnetic core resistance, to eliminate the adjustment limit of magnetic resistance in a conventional device and to improve a current limitation characteristic. SOLUTION: This superconduction current controller 10A includes a magnetic core 50 which has a saturation state and a non-saturation state and is magnetically saturable and a primary coil 52 which makes current pass through the core 50 so as to generate magnetic flux in the core, the magnetic core 50 has a main magnetic path that is provided with a damping element and makes all of the generated magnetic flux pass through and 1st and 2nd magnetic paths, the 1st magnetic path makes a 1st part of the magnetic flux pass through, and although the 2nd magnetic path a 2nd part of the magnetic path pass through, it is provided with a damping element that offsets the 2nd part magnetic flux and prevents the core from being saturated.
