PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the highly reliable recording/reproducing device and system which can reduce the mechanical wear of magnetic heads and a magnetic tape and also to reduce the demagnetization of the magnetic tape. SOLUTION: The storage means 19a and 19b are prepared to store the reproduction information which are reproduced from a magnetic tape 5 by the magnetic heads 2a and 2b together with the repetitive reading means 16 and 20 which repetitively read and output the reproduction information stored in the means 19a and 19b. Then the chances where the recorded information are reproduced by the heads 2a and 2b sliding on the tape 5 are decreased to reduce the mechanical wear of the heads 2a and 2b and the tape 5 and also to reduce the demagnetization of the tape 5.
