PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable switching an operation by a selection element displayed on a rotary dial itself and an operation by a selection element displayed on a display panel by providing the display panel for displaying the selection element. SOLUTION: A dial supporting plate 14 is pivotally supported by a shaft 13 on the top of a camera body 10 so as to turn upside down. A shutter dial (rotary dial) 15 is pivotally supported by a shaft 16 on the surface 14a of the plate 14. When the dial supporting plate 14 is reversed so that the surface 14a may face downward, a display panel window 18 is fully opened. In the case of making the surface 14a of the dial supporting plate 14 face upward, a shutter speed is selected based on the shutter speed display 17 through the shutter dial 15. In the case of making the surface 14a face downward, the shutter speed selected through the shutter dial 15 is displayed in the display panel window 18, then, the displayed shutter speed is selected by a shutter control circuit.
