PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transfer the image data of suitable level corresponding to a terminal, which requests the image data, in the case of transferring the image data composed of the data of plural levels of resolution, gray level resolution and reproduced image quality or the like to the terminal. SOLUTION: In the case of requesting the transfer of image data from terminals 3 and 4, when the names of users of the terminals 3 and 4 are inputted, transfer request information and the information of names are inputted through networks 6 and 7 to an image server 2. The image server 2 designates the data of level suitable for the terminal user, based on the information of names and transfers these data to the request terminals 3 and 4. When there is a request from the terminal 3 of a reading system, for example, the data of the peak level are transferred but when there is a request from the terminal 4 of a reference system, the data of level lower than the peak level are transferred. |
