PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket to electrically connect an IC device and fix it on a circuit board removably. SOLUTION: A base plate 1 is installed abutting to the undersurface of a circuit board 11, and a plurality of pins 2 installed upright on the base plate 1 are allowed to penetrate the circuit board 11, and an anisotropic conductive sheet 4 to be connected electrically with the wirings on the board is provided, and an IC device 10 is installed on the sheet 4. Thereon a matching plate 8 is installed in such a way that the pins 2 penetrate guide holes 5b and 6a provided in the plate 8, and the ID device 10 is accommodated together with the sheet 4 in accommodation holes 5a in the plate 8 and the positioning is made. Thereon a clamp plate 7 is installed, and an engaging step 7b formed on this clamp plate is engaged with a hook 2a provided at each pin tip, and the IC device 10 is put in electric connection and fixed onto the board.
