SILVER HALIDE PHOTOGRAPHIC EMULSION, PHOTOSENSITIVE MATERIAL USING IT AND ITS MANUFACTURE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain the silver halide photographic emulsion superior in high illumination exposure aptitude and small in density fluctuation during a time from exposure to development by adding chemically sensitized fine silver halide grains into the silver halide photographic emulsion containing silver halide grains specified in silver chloride content. SOLUTION: The silver halide photographic emulsion contains the silver halide grains having a silver chloride content of >=95% and the fine silver halide grains chemically sensitized in advance. It is preferred that the emulsion has undergone a temperature difference of >=10 deg.C during chemical ripening and it is prepared by adding a chemical sensitizer at each temperature. It is preferred that both of the silver halide grains and the fine silver halide grains are chemically sensitized with a sulfur sensitizer and a silver chloride content is >=98 mol% and the crystal forms of the silver halide grains are the cubic ones having (100) faces on the surfaces.
