PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consistently supply stable power for operation to a plurality of types of electronic apparatuses with different power supply input specifications, without preparation of AC adaptors peculiar to respective apparatuses and, further, realize an automatic apparatus specification recognition function and an output power supply matching function, i.e., an AC adaptor generates and outputs an operation power supply matched with the specifications of the apparatus main part without requiring an exclusive control signal line, and furthermore, without affecting noise upon the apparatus operation. SOLUTION: When an AC adaptor 11 is connected to an electronic apparatus main part 12, the electronic apparatus main part 12 varies the impedance on a power supply output line PL for a certain time period, to inform the AC adaptor 11 of the power supply input specifications of itself. The AC adaptor 11 recognizes the power supply input specifications of the power supply object apparatus based on the information given by the impedance variation from the apparatus main part 12 and generates and outputs operation power by the output specifications which follows the recognized input specifications. |
