PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent failure by preventing infiltration of cut chips (contamination) into a motor part driving a rotary spindle, in an air spindle unit mounted on a cutting device and to be fitted with a cutting blade. SOLUTION: An exhaust route 28 discharging air jetted in at least a thrust air bearing 23 is provided in a spindle housing 24 rotatably supporting a rotary spindle 21 by a radial air bearing 22 and the thrust air bearing 23, and an exhaust port 27 which is the end of this exhaust route 28 is provided outside a motor part 25.
