PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the reflux performance due to the capillary operation of operation fluid, and to increase heat transmission characteristics by providing a container where both the end parts of a perforated pipe are sealed, by inserting a wire wick member into the hole, and at the same time by allowing the container to be subjected to press machining for bonding the wire wick member closely to the inner wall of the hole. SOLUTION: In a plate-type heat pipe 1, a container 10 consisting of a perforated pipe with a plurality of holes 12 being in parallel is provided. Then, a wire wick member 11 (a metal wire) is inserted into each hole 12, and at the same time the container 10 is subjected to press machining for allowing the inner wall of each hole 12 to closely adhere to the wire wick member 11. More specifically, a cavity part is formed from each hole 13 and the connection part of an end part, the inside of the cavity part is subjected to washing, deaeration, or the like, and operation liquid is accommodated into the cavity part, thus stably securing a fine gap near an adhesion part over entire length in the adhesion part between the wire wick member 11 and the inner wall of each hole 12, and hence improving the reflux performance due to the capillary action of operation fluid.
