摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detect an airtightness defect easily and in a short time with a simple and low-cost apparatus by a method, wherein the opening of a deformable enclosure is brought into close contact with a face to be detected, so as to be pressed and the collapse size of the face to inspected, which is collapsed due to air pressure in the inside of the enclosure, raised due to the deformation of the enclosure. SOLUTION: A bellows 5 is brought into close contact with the surface of a lid body 2 as a face to be inspected, and a chamber 6 is pressed downward. Then, the air pressure inside rizes, and the surface of the lid body 2 collapses. At this time, a magnetic body 10 at the upper end of a float 13 which comes into contact with the surface of the lid body 2 compresses a sponge member a little, so as to be brought close to a magnetic sensor 8. Then when the size between the sensor 8 and the magnetic body 10 is measured, the dimension to the sensor 8 from the surface of the lid body 2 becomes H1. When a difference (H1-H0) between a dimension H1 and the prescribed dimension H0 up to the surface of the lid body 2 from the sensor 8 when the lid body 2 is not pressed is within a prescribed valueα, a container to be inspected is determined to be a nondefective. When a container body 1 and the lid body 2 are not brought sufficiently into close contact, the measured dimension H1 becomes large. The difference (H1-H0) becomes larger than the prescribed valueα, and airtightness defect is determined.
