PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a facsimile communication system which has a short communication time. SOLUTION: When transmitting the same image information to confidential boxes of a called station 1b, a calling station 1a generates and sends signals specifying the box numbers of all the confidential boxes to be stored with image information to be sent to the called station 1b, and then sends image information once to the called station 1b. Once receiving the signals specifying the box numbers from the calling station 1a, the called station 1b recognizes the specified box numbers from the signals, and the called station when receiving the image information from the calling station 1a gives identification information to the image information, stores the identification information in a confidential management table 12b while making it correspond to all the specified box numbers, and stores the image information given the identification information in an image information management table 14b by the identification information.
