CODING METHOD AND DECODING METHOD FOR DIGITAL DATA

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify management of input output data by transferring coded data in n-bit among data stored in a 2nd data storage means to a 2nd external storage means, shifting normalized data in the 2nd data storage means by n-bit and updating data in a 3rd data storage means. SOLUTION: Suppose that the data in 3-bit length are transferred to a register A after initializing the register and loading number of words, no data are latched in a register B because the register B has just been initialized. The contents of a register C are also zero, and the register A is shifted to the right by number of zero bits. Then the data in the register A are transferred to the register B to make the contents of the register B equal to those of the register A. Since the number of bits of data given to the register B is 3, a value '3' is added to the contents of the register C to set the contents of the register C to '3'. Whether the contents of the register C are 8 or over or 4 or over is checked.
