PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure the ignitability of liquid fuel and, at the same time, to maintain the temperature of a catalyst within an appropriate range, by providing an atomizer which atomizes the liquid fuel on the upstream of a catalytically burning section which heats an object to be heated, and making the atomized liquid fuel to flame up by means of an igniter. SOLUTION: Heating equipment 100 is provided with a catalytically burning section 110 which heats an object to be heated by catalytically burning liquid fuel. On the upstream of the section 110, an atomizer (injector) 130 and an igniter 140 are provided. The atomizer 130 is supplied with liquid fuel (methanol) and the igniter 140 inflames atomized liquid fuel. A controller 16 controls the turning on/off of the igniter 140 in accordance with the output of a temperature sensor 170. The igniter 140 is repeatedly turned on and off in accordance with the temperature of the catalyst in the section 110. Therefore, the temperature of the catalyst in the section 110 can be maintained within an appropriate range. |
