PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an image forming device excellent in reliability capable of forming an image with stable image gray level regardless of the use circumstances of the device. SOLUTION: After installing and supplying toner (S1), operation is started from a potential setting pattern adjusted to average CV(copying volume) (S2 and S3). A CPU repeats the operation that the value of the number of copies daily is set as the cumulative value of the last seven days(S4 and S5), the average monthly CV value concerning this device is calculated from the cumulative value (S6), the potential setting pattern is selected according to a table (S7), and the CV is calculated, based on the new cumulative data after seven days, then the potential setting pattern is repetitiously selected. |
