摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the luminance by forming each barrier rib to a desirable height with the white glass paste, and grinding the top of the barrier rib so as to form a flat part at a constant height, and forming the flat part with a thin black part of the black glass paste. SOLUTION: An address electrode 2 and a dielectric layer 3 are formed on a surface of a back substrate 1. The predetermined number of processes of the screen printing with the white glass paste and drying are repeated so as to form a barrier rib 4 having a desirable height. In this condition, a top surface of the flat part 10 is coated with the black glass paste 14 by a roll coater or the like. Thereafter, the whole of the barrier rib 4 is burned, and a sidewall of the barrier rib 4 and the dielectric layer 3 are coated with the phosphor 13 so as to finish a back panel. With this structure, ratio of a reflecting surface formed of the white glass in the surface area of the barrier rib 3 is improved, and the height of the top of the black glass are aligned.
