PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a film supply device capable of reducing the number of driving sources as small as possible, accomplishing the simplification of the structure and suppressing the increase of the cost by unnecessitating a quantity detecting means, an arithmetic processing means and an information means, etc., and also capable of executing an interruption processing with an easy operation. SOLUTION: The film supply device A equipped with a feeder 20 for feeding a leader L to a developing part G under a horizontal feeding device 1 is installed in front of the developing part G of the automatic developing machine J. Plural cartridges P with a leader hanging down are intermittently and horizontally moved by the horizontal feeding device 1 while being supported by the device 1, and also, the cartridges P are optionally detached from the device 1. An input port 2 for viewing almost the total quantity of the cartridges P is installed above the horizontal feeding device 1, and the cover 9 for the port 2 is made of transparent material. A columnar guiding part with U-shaped cross section for guiding the cartridge P detached from the device 1 to the feeder 20 is arranged on one end side in the carrying direction of the horizontal feeding device 1.
