PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively prevent deterioration of a separator part facing a main frame part and a lug part of a positive plate by coating the separator part facing at least the lug part of the positive plate with oxidation resistant resin. SOLUTION: A positive plate 1 has a main frame part 4 for connecting a core metal to the top and a lug part 5 extending upward from part of the main frame. The main frame 4 other than the top is covered with oxidation resistant resin 6. A separator part 9 of the separator 2, covered with the resin, positioned upper than the main frame 4, containing a part facing the main frame part 4 and the lug part 5 of the positive plate is covered with hot-melt resin. The resin for covering the separator part 9 is preferable to be acrylic resin, phenol resin in addition to polyethylene, or a substance having high oxidation resistance of an inorganic adhesive layer.
