PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gasket composed of a flexible core and a conductive covering material which is as soft as the core and covers the core and a manufacturing method thereof. SOLUTION: A conductive porous sheathing material 12 which is manufactured through a manner where a metal plating layer is formed on the outer and inner surface of a continuously foamed elastic resin body respectively and an elastic porous core 10 sheathed with the sheathing material 12 are prepared, adhesive agent is applied onto the one surface of the sheathing material 12, then the elastic porous core 10 is sheathed with the sheathing material 12, and the core material 10 and the sheathing material 12 are bonded together through the intermediary of the adhesive agent for the manufacture of an electromagnetic shielding gasket 14.
