摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable a fixed point arithmetic of a finite word length to perform normalized two-orthogonal transformation such as wavelet transformation of an image. SOLUTION: This device is a normalized two-orthogonal transformation device which is equipped with a wavelet (inverse) transformation part 12 that respectively applies a horizontal direction transformation system and a vertical direction transformation system where each coefficient includes√2 as a factor to an image and performs normalized two-orthogonal wavelet transformation of the image. The transforming part 12 is equipped with a coefficient memory 18 which turns into each coefficient into a finite decimal in advance and saves it, an ALU 20 which uses each of retained coefficients and performs the wavelet transformation and a corrector 24 for correcting a gap in gain occurring to a transformation result accompanying a process making the finite decimal.</p>
