PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obviate any tooth skipping of a toothed belt in a simple construction, and at the same time to reduce the extent of noise, and to prevent any foreign substances from penetrating inside as well. SOLUTION: In this power transmission device for a car engine equipped with a transmission shifting power out of a crankshaft and transmitting it to the driving wheels, installing a pulley 99 in a drive shaft 98 interlocking with an output shaft of this transmission and stretching a toothed belt 101 across this pulley 99 and another pulley of the driving wheels, and then shifting the power out of the crankshaft to transmit it to the driving wheels, two tooth skip preventing rollers regulating any possible floating of the toothed belt 101 are installed in the more front side than a vertical line passing through an axial center of the drive shaft 98. |
