PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coil integrated type ignition plug be easily attachable to a cylinder head and capable of setting an outer electrode in the preset direction in relation to a combustion chamber, excellent in performance of cooling especially at a central electrode and an insulator and in heat resistance. SOLUTION: This coil integrated type ignition plug has an ignition plug part 120 and an ignition coil part fixable to a plug attachment hole of a cylinder head and nonrotatably integrated with the ignition plug part 120 in the axial direction. A tip end 105 of a main metal fitting 103 of the ignition plug part 120 is formed approximately cylindrical in outer peripheral surface, the distance L (mm) measured in the axial direction from the base end side of an insulator locking side 114p of a shelf 114 formed on the inner periphery 105c of the main metal fitting 103 for locking an insulator 102 to the tip end side of a plug seat side is set >=0.
