PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damper with springs for regulating a position, simplified in fitting work, assembled in a short time, having simple structure, and being provided inexpensively. SOLUTION: A slider 25 equipped with locking projections 26 and 27, these are a position limit mechanism 28, on both ends, is fixed to the outer periphery of a damper main body 2, and two spring guides 23 and 24 are slidably arranged with their operation limited by the projections 26 an and 27 on both ends respectively via the slider 25. Step parts 29 and 30 are provided, these are a position regulating mechanism 31 for regulating the movement of a cover 21 through two guides 23 and 24 by interposing a position regulating spring 22 between two guides 23 and 24 with both ends supported, and also working together with the mechanism 28 on the body 2 side to a cover 21 extending from a piston rod 15.
