PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a panel switch for all kinds of electronic equipment, allowing no displacement between an operation part of a button body and an opening part of a cover. SOLUTION: This panel switch comprises a button body 16, a first circuit board 1 and a cover 17. Upper and lower surfaces of a frame body part 16D of the button body 16 are respectively formed with positioning bosses 16F, 16E. By inserting the positioning bosses 16F, 16E of the upper and lower surfaces into a positioning hole 17D of the cover 17 and a positioning hole ID of the circuit board 1, the circuit board 1 and the cover 17 are positioned through the button body 16. Thereby, the panel switch allowing no displacement between an operation part of the button body 16 and an opening hole of the cover 17, and a method for installing the panel switch to its equipment can be obtained.
