摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To rationally perform power-saving operation. SOLUTION: A refrigerator 100 cools an object 70 of cooling by sending a compressed refrigerant 10a, which is prepared by compressing a refrigerant 20a at a compression unit 10, to an evaporation unit 20. According to a power-saving system (shown in Fig.), predetermined levels H0, M0, L0 of external air temperatures detected by a temperature detector S31 are determined, and a compression amount of the compression unit 10 at the starting of operation is selected on the basis of speed levels H2, M2, L2 of a revolving speed Rs11 of a motor 11B corresponding to the compression unit 10. During operation, operation ratios Ts2-Ts4 of the compression unit 10 are determined, and a compression amount of the compression unit 10 is selected on the basis of the speed levels H2, M2, L2 of the revolving speed Rs11 of the corresponding motor 11B. When the operation ratio Ts shows operation ratios Ts1, Ts5 other than the predetermined ratios, determination based on the predetermined levels H0, M0, L0 of the external air temperatures are made over again. After the lapse of a predetermined period of time Th, or by manual operation, the operation of the compressor unit is changed over to its normal operation. Each predetermined level of the external air temperatures, each predetermined value of the operation ratios, and each speed reference value of the motor B11 have an allowable range, respectively.
